As some of you know, I am a huge Orca fanatic. Nicole gave me the green light to go on a photography journey with the whales on Sunday. I went on my favorite whale watching boat (and company)
http://www.island-adventures.com/. We headed to the southwest side of San Juan Island between Eagle Point and Haro Strait, and our boat met up with many members of J, K, and L pods (the Southern Resident Orca pods of Puget Sound). It was a beautiful day, and a great way to end Labor Day weekend and the summer. If you come to Seattle, this is MUST if you appreciate whales and the beautiful landscape of the San Juan Islands. Anyway, without any further delay, here are some of the pictures:
As the day drew to a close, a couple of orcas decided to wave goodbye. Goodbye to a great summer.
Enjoy your Labor Day everyone. Hopefully, you had the day off. =)
