What a beautiful October Day at Mount Rainier!

We had a great day at Mount Rainier today. The fall color was amazing, and the kids had a blast on their first real hike. The four of us hopped on the Van Trump/Comet Falls trail on the south side of Mount Rainier National Park. It was 1.8 miles basically straight up to Comet Falls (not that great of a falls), and then another 1.8 back to the car. I've included some of our pictures from the hike, and we finished up the day up at the Paradise Visitor Center, and trails leading out from there. Probably the last fall day until Rainier gets buried under a truckload of snow.

Sorry for the hiatus

I apologize for not blogging in quite some time. My bad. Sincerely, I do apologize. I hope you all have been well. For the one or two people that actually check this blog, I'm glad you are sticking with us.

Fall has come in the Pacific Northwest. We are getting LOTS of rain. We did have a nice Saturday, and I did get to snap some pictures. So enjoy! Here's some pics of Ashley and Josher....

New Website!

Hi Everyone!

I just rolled out another website! Check out www.pudwellphotography.com for all of the latest landscape, nature, and wildlife pictures by ME!

From now on, www.scottpudwellphotography.com is going to be used for weddings, portraits, candids, and the new website will host all of my landscape and nature photos.

Things are quiet on the homefront. Nicole and I are leaving for Vegas (yeah, baby) on Saturday, and Nicole's parents are coming out to watch the monsters........always good to see grandma and grandpa (or as Josh calls him: Princess Leia).

A big congratulations to my brother and family for welcoming their newest member to the world. Brayden James was born a couple of weeks ago, and I got to meet the little guy last weekend in Chicago at my Grandma's 85th birthday party.

Delay.........

Hey there, blog fans. Sorry I have been on hiatus for awhile. I was back in Chicago for my Grandma's 85th birthday party from last Thursday until yesterday. It really isn't an excuse, but it is what it is. Plus, I had to watch the Packers beat the Vikings for the 5th time in a row, so I really haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to my dear old blog.

Anywho......I promise that I will get some new pics and updates going this week. Just not tomorrow night because I have to coach Josh's first soccer practice. So maybe Wednesday.......stay tuned.

Here's a pic I took of the Chicago theater on Saturday in the Windy City. And another one of my buddy, Steve, who is a rockstar in Rockford, IL. Enjoy the night.

A Whale of a Day!

As some of you know, I am a huge Orca fanatic. Nicole gave me the green light to go on a photography journey with the whales on Sunday. I went on my favorite whale watching boat (and company) http://www.island-adventures.com/. We headed to the southwest side of San Juan Island between Eagle Point and Haro Strait, and our boat met up with many members of J, K, and L pods (the Southern Resident Orca pods of Puget Sound). It was a beautiful day, and a great way to end Labor Day weekend and the summer. If you come to Seattle, this is MUST if you appreciate whales and the beautiful landscape of the San Juan Islands. Anyway, without any further delay, here are some of the pictures:

As the day drew to a close, a couple of orcas decided to wave goodbye. Goodbye to a great summer.

Happy Saturday.....

Just a quick update here on Labor Day weekend. I survived my ride along with the Tukwila Police Department. I have to say a big thanks to officer Marc for one cool night. I had no idea that it would be that awesome to do a overnight patrol with the police. I got to see shoplifters, credit card fraud, fights at Denny's, an assault with a knife & golf club, and a whole bunch of people speeding and driving without insurance. Plus, I got to go really fast in a squad car with the lights and siren on......what a rush. Pretty dang cool, I must say.

In other weekend news, we attended our neighborhood ice cream social today. It was kind of downer since it was only like 62 today, hardly ice cream weather. We have a birthday party for a friend tomorrow, and not much else going on for Monday. Good time to catch up on some Z's.

I'm also excited that college football season started today. The Wisconsin Badgers are now 1-0. Gotta love the REAL U-dub.

Wednesday.......

Not much new to report here. My knee is really sore from softball last night. We got crushed both games, and the 10 run rule was invoked on us. That's never fun.

I am coaching my son's soccer team this fall, and our coaches meeting is tonight. Gonna be fun to watch the herd of 3, 4, and 5 year olds chasing the soccer ball around the field. Can I even really coach them? Stay tuned for some interesting stories.

I also have my BIG fantasy football draft tonight as well. Draft night is always exciting until reality sets in and all my guys get hurt. I'll keep you posted on who I get......my team name this year is JET FAVRES. Original, I know.

Mariners Monday

Finally made it to a Mariners game! It was against my 2nd favorite MLB team, the Twins (Brewers will always be #1). The Twins blew it in the 9th and lost in extras. It was a cold and rainy night in Seattle, but it was good to get some of the national pastime in as summer winds down. Here's some of my pics from the game.......

Saturday Night Photography

I'm back again. Just got back from a little side trip to Seattle to see if we could catch a cool sunset with the skyline. It was OK, but it was amazing to see the million photographers at the park with the same idea as me. Anyway, it was fun, and the kids had a blast running around. Enjoy the pictures. In other news.....

Just got done mowing the lawn on a sunny day in Washington. I should cherish these since we are getting towards the end of our two months of sunshine.

Tiger Woods I am NOT.

I survived the golf tournament yesterday. It was pretty fun. Got really sunburnt, and had a couple of beers on a Friday afternoon. Things couldn't be better. Well, I guess the golf could be better. I think I lost around 7 balls in 18 holes, and our team took 2nd last. Maybe I should practice a little more......

Not much going on at the Pudwell household this weekend. Just catching up on some weekend projects.

Hands Full

Nicole is enjoying a girls night out with the gals from work. Which means that Josh, Beaner, Caly, Cooper, and I have a night to tear up the house and stay up late (and eat lots of junk food). I did the typical thing and broke down and went to McDonalds with the kids. I give credit to Ashley cause she wouldn't eat the Nuggets only the apples. Way to go, Ashley. Setting the healthy eating tone at 1 years old. I only wish I had her willpower. Time to go stretch......I have a big golf tourney tomorrow, and I don't want to make a fool of myself.

Josh is such a ham.
